Needlepoint Contract Form

This is an agreement between Stitch One and customer for needlepoint. Stitch One is providing a hand stitched needlepoint product made to customer's specifications. Specifications include size of needlepoint, customer may specify color, customer may provide design for needlepoint.

Specifications

1. Needlepoint size
   Customer will provide for Stitch One a pattern drawn or cut from a piece of white fabric the exact size and shape of the intended finished needlepoint. Needlepoint consists of wool threads hand stitched into sturdy cotton canvas. Needlepoint cannot be cut to size. Customer understands that the size and shape of pattern will be the size and shape of needlepoint. There will be additional white canvas for attaching needlepoint to chair. Customer could have upholsterer check pattern to the intended chair, including enough extra for cushion material. Custom needlepoint will require initial payment of 50% of final cost for Stitch One to produce canvas and hand stitch needlepoint product.
   

2. Colors of threads for needlepoint (optional)
   Customer may have special request for approval of colors. Stitch One will produce a canvas with design dyed on it in size and shape of final piece. Customer may receive, on request, the dyed canvas in the final colors of the design for approval of colors. If colors are unsatisfactory, customer may request more options. Colors will be adjusted and presented in selections of A,B,C,D in smaller versions of design. Upon receipt of selections and threads, customer may also request a selection of yarn colors to choose from for background colors, customer may pick one selection and choose from threads or provide threads for stitching. Once colors are approved on final canvas, the canvas will proceed to stitching service who will match colors on canvas, or stitch with provided threads. Customer may not request restitching of colors on final product.

3. Design provided by customer (optional)
   Customer may provide for Stitch One any design that does not violate copyright laws for reproduction as needlepoint design. Stitch One will assess the design's condition, and difficulty in reproducing as needlepoint and will charge a graphic fee for developing design into needlepoint for customer. The graphic fee for design provided by customer must be paid in advance. Stitch One will produce a canvas with the design dyed on it in the size and shape requested for the final piece. The customer may receive the dyed canvas for approval before final stitching. Design and color approval will be as in section (2).

4. Guarantee of Satisfaction
   If final needlepoint product does not meet customer's expectations, customer may refuse final product and will only forfeit deposit for custom needlepoint, which will equal 50% of final price.
